Tears of Steel - Blender Foundation's fourth short Open Movie

It's been a long time. It's time to revive the Legendary Wall.

This is the new short film from the Blender Foundation. It's supposed to show some new possibilities that are available in Blender, or just Blender's power. It's not too deep of a movie, but it does show some well made effects, so enjoy and be sure to check Blender if you're into 3D animation and modelling (it's free). If you haven't already, of course :).

Game Dev Story Review [Mobile Game]

Game Dev Story is a game about making games. You are a director of a newly created game development company and start working in a small office with your secretary and two game developers. At the beginning you can hire up to 2 new workers or even more, if you decide to fire someone else. And then it's time to start working on your first game.

You choose a system (at start there aren't so many options, but new consoles come out often) that your game is going to run on, genre and type of the game (fe. Action Adventure) and in a special window you will choose the directions of the game. Whether it will be directed more towards cuteness, realism or something else, is your choice. Then you choose a scriptwriter and the team will start working on the game. Each game has 4 quality attributes: fun, creativity, graphics and audio. The higher they are, the better the score will be after the critics review it, and better it will sell. After some time you will move to a bigger office, and later to the biggest one, which can hold up to 8 developers. You can also train your workers or level them up, so that they will get more skilled in their abilities. More skilled workers will get you better results. But sometimes some of them will reach their potential and maybe won't fulfill your expectations, in that case it is better to hire someone else. There's always someone new on the market, you never know who you might get. In the process you have two phase stops, for the first you will have to choose a worker that will create the character designs (which will affect on the graphics), and at the second one for music (will, of course, contribute to audio). You can either choose one of your workers, or decide to outsource the task, which can also be done for the game script. The last phase in the game creation is debugging. And after that, it's done.

After the game is done it is sent to the critics and into stores and starts selling at the beginning of the next week. After that you can decide to advertise your game, with wich you will also get more supporters.
The game doesn't stop just at the games, you can also make your own console, but you will have to watch out for your revenue. And there's even a Game expo show.
After some time it might become repetitive. But I tell you this; Game Dev Story is the first mobile game, that I couldn't stop playing for hours after I started it. It just sucks you in. It is not perfect, but it feels very fresh, and if you like the thought of developing games, I strongly suggest you to try this one out. After you get straight nines from the critics, you know, you and your team all made a great game. The game is available for Android and iOs devices.
